This annual job fair and HR Luncheon highlights opportunities, resources and networking among employers, job seekers and students. Employment Extravaganza has been touted as one of the region's largest career-focused events.
This program is a network of over 300 faculty and staff representing over 20 post-secondary education institutions from Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana. The Chamber is a strong advocate for business engagement in education, and the role employers play in preparing a qualified workforce. In partnership with the Northern Kentucky Education Council, the Chamber supports the development of a more effective educational system with the goal of preparing our students to be productive members of our workforce and community.
The Chamber values the role that business plays as a partner in education, facilitates nearly 100 business and school partnerships focused on how business can impact student achievement to ensure students are college and career ready. This program improves communication among business leaders and educators and encourages the implementation of high impact partnership activities.
Based on a set of standards developed by area employers, the program allows students (K-12) to understand and develop the performance skills required of successful 21st century employees. As a partner in a state-wide initiative driven the Kentucky Girls STEM Collaborative, the Chamber provides opportunities for hands-on career exploration in STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) through the Northern Kentucky Girls Day Out program. Girls Day Out allows students to tour local companies and learn about the variety of careers and employer needs in our region.
